  • Quiet sea today. Varnished chart table & change mainsail after a record 397 days. I think the mainsail I took off could have completed the voyage but it be winter south of South Africa & across the Southern Indian Ocean. So I now have a fresh sail bent to the mast.

  • Favourable mild breeze & sea. Huge ship going by opposite direction. One wonders where it comes from her course would suggest Antarctica, between South Africa & south America.
