Log

  • Completed & hung out another lot of washing. Soaked first in sea water & detergent then washed in sea water & detergent, then sea water & shampoo. Unfortunately I did not have enough fresh water for a fresh water rinse which means the clothes & sheets will be damp & though smelling sweet now will adopt a dank smell in due course.

Log

  • I have two VDO ships clocks with alarms. One has stopped and will not work and this dumb fool has busted the alarm in the other clock trying to relocate the sweeping second hand that had fallen off.
  • It is amazing, my first fix in 4 days (through I got a morning sight (only) yesterday.
  • It is nice to have everything so dry within the cabin. Condensation gone, temp is nice & warm.

Log

  • Strong to gale wind continues, but perhaps the severe squalls have abated – I hope.
  • Looked over the side of the yacht at the stern. There are oodles, lots, zillions of large gooseneck barnacles under the stern, which would slow the yacht a lot.
